So it has been several weeks since with installed the vegetable garden. At the time I thought it would great to grow everything from seed, but this was not a good plan. my seeds almost all failed, mostly because we had so much rain and then is was so hot. So I am going to have to try again. It is also too late in the season to start from seeds. So I ended up planting a heap of mature seedlings to give me a head-start. I am trying five different varieties of tomatoes, which have been doing so well, I staked them up today.
Last weekend we had a few friends around for a housewarming, and we were given these super-cute garden gnomes, which Mary and Leanne hand-decorated with pink knitted caps, and fairy wings with a glitter rainbow. They now have pride in place in the veggie patch. They also gave us Mark and I his-and-his fantastic leather gardening gloves, covered with glitter, a great way to glam up gardening!
